NATURE WEAVE

Nature Weave emphasises the interwoven relationship between people and the natural world—a connection both elemental and intelligent. It invites us to create with greater insight, recognising not just textures and forms, but the deeper systems and patterns that guide nature.

Central to this idea is biophilia—the instinct to reconnect with what is natural, grounding, and alive. When nature is thoughtfully integrated into our environments, its impact extends far beyond aesthetics. It calms, anchors, and nurtures well-being. In urban settings, elements like green spaces, natural light, and organic materials contribute to more than visual appeal—they reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, and foster a sense of community.

Design, then, is not solely for people—but for landscapes, ecosystems, and other species. The future of design is about coexistence: creating with and for the living world. This shift reframes our role—not as owners, but as participants in a shared environment.

By weaving nature into the fabric of our work, our creative gestures become gentler, more rooted, less extractive, and infinitely more intuitive. Through this, we cultivate not only more sustainable practices—but more considered, connected ways of living.

the artist

Sares is an Argentinian digital artist we invited to create this year’s key visual. Fusing Balinese tradition with AI and generative art, he transformed cultural motifs into a digital work that reflects the flow and interconnectedness of nature.

“Through this key visual, I wanted to show how tradition and technology can weave together like threads in nature, creating a space where culture and the environment meet.”

— Sares
